    Speakers & Topics:

"Texas Hail Claims -- What The Hail Is Going On?"
Steve Badger, Attorney at Law, Zelle, LLP
The Texas property insurance industry is under attack. Hundreds of lawsuits are being filed each week involving alleged underpayment of hail damage claims. This session will explore the reasons behind the dramatic increase in hail lawsuit filings and provide an update on industry efforts to address fraud and other abuses which have become commonplace in these claims. Strategies for responding to the adjustment and coverage issues commonly arising in these claims will also be discussed, as well as underwriting solutions and policy form changes being adopted by many carriers.

    "Insurance for the onDemand Economy"
Michael Fitzgibbon, Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer, Slice Labs, Inc.
The onDemand Economy is here, and it's here to stay. The insurance industry has struggled to respond. This talk will explain and simplify the onDemand economy, discussing its insurance needs and analyzing how those needs are not currently served by the insurance industry. It's important for all of us to meet the ever changing needs of the folks who buy from us. Solutions will be offered, including how the traditional insurance industry can partner with Insurtech firms to deliver those solutions without the friction that normally accompanies surplus lines transactions and directly to consumers. Independent Agents in particular have an opportunity to lead the industry in consumer interface. The talk will conclude with a Q&A session.

    "The NAPSLO Team"
    Gil Hine, President, NAPSLO
Behind the scenes of a very successful national association are a dedicated group of professionals who work tirelessly to make it happen. Many of us never have a chance to meet them much less know who these people are. Here is the team, who they are and what they do.

"Government Relations - Adding Value to Your Business"
Keith Strama, Partner, Beatty, Bangle & Strama
Any Government Relations efforts require two critical components - the knowledge of how the process works (Keith Strama and BBS Firm) and the subject expertise of a particular area (TSLA and its member companies). Both components are critically dependent upon one another and are necessary for success.

It breaks down simply to the "what" and the "how" - you as the client provide the "what" and I and my team provide the "how."

"The Past, The Present and Most Importantly the Future"
Marshall Turner, President, Maxum Specialty Insurance Group
A discussion on the current state of the market, including a look back to what the market looked like when TSLA began in 1956 as well as a look into the future.

Association updates will be provided by:
    Ed Levy, Incoming-President, AAMGA
    Brady Kelley, Executive Director, NAPSLO
