NAPSLO Scholarship
Scholarship to the NAPSLO Surplus Lines Management
When: February 6-9, 2017
Where: Emory University Goizueta Business School, Atlanta, GA
Scholarship Includes:
$2000 Registration Fee (accommodations; study materials and meals)
$400 Flight Stipend

Eligibility:
To apply you must be employed by a TSLA Voting or Affiliate member and you must reside in Texas. TSLA officers are not eligible to apply, but TSLA directors may apply. Winner will be selected by TSLA Executive Committee by 12/15/2016. The firm you are employed with MUST be a member of NAPSLO or plan to join if you are selected to win the scholarship.
The Program:
The NAPSLO Surplus Lines Management School is designed for those who are first time supervisors or managers. The program targets learners in various roles with both wholesale brokers and carriers, with a strong focus on the impact of building a book of business and managing the wholesale process. Course curriculum is taught by surplus lines industry leaders, as well as Emory University Goizueta Business School faculty. Participants will learn to harness their own leadership style to motivate teams, manage conflict and increase company value and performance through effective relationships and a broadened industry perspective.
Who Should Attend:
The program is designed for those who are first time supervisors and are making the transition from technical expertise to leading and motivating people, while also building a book of business and managing the wholesale relationship process. The curriculum is developed to make it applicable to both brokers and carriers.
